WinBridgeAgent is an open-source Windows tray agent designed to extend the reach of AI assistants like Claude Desktop and OpenAI to interact directly with your local system. It implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard, providing a secure and traceable interface for AI models to perform various Windows operations. The agent acts as a local MCP server, offering functionalities such as file system management, clipboard access, screenshots, process and window control, and power management. It ensures system integrity with policy and permission guards, audit logging, and protected process/directory blocklists, while also providing convenient features like a system tray interface, real-time monitoring, and automatic updates.
