Yes, many hooks such as mojo-format, trailing-whitespace, and end-of-file-fixer will automatically correct issues. You simply need to stage the changes and commit again.

Can I bypass the hooks if I'm in a hurry?

This skill enforces a strict policy against using --no-verify. Bypassing hooks is prohibited because it allows broken code into the repo and causes CI failures.

What happens if a specific hook is broken but my code is fine?

In the rare event a hook itself is broken, you should use the SKIP=hook-name environment variable to bypass only that specific hook while documenting the reason in your commit message.
